Low libido not a concern

Survey

By Rhiannon Russell

Fear of losing one’s libido drastically reduces with age, according to a recent survey.

The survey, conducted online by A. Vogel from March 7 to 9, revealed that almost 40 per cent of women aged 18 to 34 fear losing their libido compared to 25 per cent of women aged 45 to 54. Less than 10 per cent of women 65 and over fear this common symptom of menopause.

The survey also reported that half of Canadian women remove extra layers of clothing to combat hot flashes. Difficulty concentrating, mood swings and night sweats are other menopausal symptoms that women fear most, according to the online responses.

Besides removing their clothes, Canadian women also use breathing techniques, change the temperature on the thermostat or air conditioner, surround themselves with fans, exercise or stand in front of the fridge or freezer to cool off.

A. Vogel is a global supplier of health products and natural remedies.
