Fashion shows are always such glamorous events. I love the anticipation as the lights go down and the music revs up, not to mention seeing the beautiful creations designers have dreamed up and brought to fruition. The Sony Style Fashion Show & Market presented by Women's Post Media was no exception. On September 29th, to an excited audience of over 600 guests packed into the Fermenting Cellar in the heart of the historical Toronto Distillery District, 16 real women modeled the latest designs from 27 exceptional Canadian design talents.
Our lovely and amazing models, despite having no formal training from Mister Jay of Canada/America's Next Top Model fame, held their own with beauty and grace. Thank you to the women from Soberman LLP, Shannae Ingleton from whatwomenwant, Lowe from cocoandlowe and Leesa Butler from the F-list who all looked absolutely gorgeous.
While our stunning real women models drew 'oohs' and 'aahs' from the crowd, it was no doubt the designs by our featured designers that captivated their attention and imagination. We had garments, jewellery and accessory designers from Toronto and across Canada. Everything from elaborate costume jewellery from Monikque Costume Jewellery to retro inspired day wear from Jana Hanzel and classic office chic from Cassis to exquisite evening and cocktail gowns from IMI Fashions and Carlie Wong. I would like to extend a huge thank you to all who participated and attended for making this the Sony Style Fashion Show and Market a very special fashion show experience!
