Soldier of Love

For those of you who have longed to hear more creations by Sade,The wait is almost over! Releasing a new album titled 'Soldier of Love' in February, this group has everyone anticipating what new masterpieces they've come up with next. As said on Pitchfork.com "Their sound is singular, their familiar style so strong that any one track feels as if it could have been recorded during any period of the group's history, a meaningful timelessness that allows minor renovations to feel like revelations."

Listening to the song 'Soldier of Love'
I found that you could relate its lyrics to many aspects of a persons life. The few lines I found that really stood out to me were as follows:

I'm at the borderline of my faith,
I'm at the hinterland of my devotion
In the front line of this battle of mine
But I'm still alive

Being a Christian I find that I can relate to these lines rather definitely. Everyday is a battle to not succumb to the many temptations of this world and lead a life sharing my faith, remaining devoted and trying not to doubt or question what God has in store for me. As difficult as leading such a life can be, I'm a fighter and and refuse to be led astray.
Many people may see something completely different in the lyrics of the song, such as the struggle to find true love in life after having lost hope in relationships. Any way these lyrics are perceived they have a deep meaning and is sung with great passion by Sade Adu.
Although I'm 15 and have not heard much by Sade,( I know, apparently I'm very out of the loop) I will undoubtedly be purchasing this CD since this single has sprouted in me a growing interest!
