Shredding It: Weekend Recap III

A 20-something intern at Women’s Post who loves food, chronicling her way through the world of working out and the 30 Day Shred.

This weekend was fun. Because it was fun, it often meant that I was not working out. Despite what the Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred tries to make me think, I’m still not a total fan of working out. It’s just much nicer to put on your favourite movie and eat some delicious popcorn. That being said, having your pants and dresses fit better is amazing. I want to go on a shopping binge all the time now. Here’s a recap of this weekend:

Friday: I still don’t wanna (Day 20)
It seems the trend is not to work out on Fridays. I whole-heartedly support and agree with this trend.

Saturday: I like to do it at night (Day 21)
So I forgot to switch to level 3 for the twentieth workout. I’m not sure if it’s in my head or not but working out in the morning is not for me. It’s almost as if I’m not yet limber enough to do. This, I know, is counterintuitive since the exercise is supposed to warm you up, but, still, I feel like I need the time to move around before the workout.

Sunday: I (don't) like to move it, move it (Day 22)
After a night out on Saturday, I laid around not doing anything on Sunday. I know, I know, I’m not exactly sticking to the whole working out every day thing… but I always have Monday night. I'll also be switching to level 3. Hilarity is sure to ensue.

Note: The blogs are a day ahead, meaning Day 15 blog is about the 14th workout, Day 14 blog is about the 13th workout, and so on. If anyone out there is doing the Shred, let me know how it’s going at jelenad@womenspost.ca
