A Glimpse into Design

This past weekend the Metro Toronto Convention Centre played host to the Interior Design Show. Although I was there for the most part of my weekend, unfortunately I was not able to see much of the happenings.

I was helping out with INK's latest project, partnered up with Lifetime and designed by Munge Leung, Bisha (bisha.com).

This project is a very different concept to the usual INK establishment, which consists of various nightclubs and restaurants in Toronto, as well as Dragonfly in Niagara. Bisha is a hotel/residence that is planned to be built at the Diesel Playhouse at King and Peter in Toronto. Keeping the original historic building below (pictured in the image) Bisha will be built upwards an entire 41 stories and will include 108 suites.

Residences may not be lacking so much in the downtown core, but hotels seem to be hard to come by. And, with a design duo like Munge Leung being on board, you can be sure that this one will be no eye sore.

Did you happen to stop by the IDS over the weekend? Share your thoughts below!
