Give A Little of YOUR Time

I help to distribute letters to military families and today I recieved some beautiful handmade cards for military servicemen/women/spouses, veterans, children & parents of military. Included in these envelopes were hand braided friendship bracelets and honor cards. Honor cards give the person an opportunity to say thank you by donating their time in the community on behalf of a military family. In 19 letters 159 hours of time was donated- incredible.....Time is the most precious gift anyone could give.
What a wonderful way of showing appreciation for all militaries services . Each one of these people sat down and creating wonderful cards, wrote very special letters and donating their time, their way of saying "thank you" I am in awe....
A little of your time can change lives- take the time to do something special for someone else- make someone smile today~You too will be in awe~

I do a 4 hour shift weekly

I do a 4 hour shift weekly for a local 24/7 distress phone line. While it is a huge life line in every sense of the word,  It humbles me to think that the phone line and those who answer it are 'family' for alot of lonely people who would have nobody else to speak to.  It takes just a little time to listen to someone but means the world to them.
