Every once in a while you need a little "pick me up".
Tiramisu will do it everytime- This is one of my favorite recipes from Ristorante Accademia in Firenze
8 servings
4 egg yolks
2 eggs
500g mascarpone cheese
½ litre heavy cream
1 package ladyfingers
250g white sugar
coffee/espresso
cocoa powder
Beat together the egg yolks, 2 eggs and sugar until a smooth cream is obtained. Add the mascarpone cheese and continue to beat for another 10 min. In another dish add the cream with a little bit of sugar and beat until a thick cream is obtained. Gently fold both creams together. In your serving dish put a layer of ladyfingers which have been dipped in coffee, then a layer of cream on top. Repeat, adding as many layers as you like but always finishing with a layer of cream. Top with cocoa powder.
