Michael Coren
Broadcaster and columnist Michael Coren was born in Essex, in Britain, in 1959 and came to Canada in 1987. He can be seen on television every weeknight at 8.00pm hosting The Michael Coren Show on CTS. Sixty minutes of discussion and debate, this show features some of the most exciting and important national and international voices discussing politics, entertainment, and social and moral issues. It is a television programme that refuses to be limited by boundaries and barriers previously considered sacrosanct. He also co-hosts Two Bald Guys With Strong Opinions every weekday with former Liberal Party President Stephen LeDrew.
Coren can be read each Saturday in the Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton and Winnipeg Suns and London Free Press. He is also a columnist for Catholic Insight, The Interim, and Women's Post and a regular contributor to The National Post.
He is the author of twelve books, including biographies of GK Chesterton, HG Wells, Arthur Conan Doyle, JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. He has contributed to the Dictionary of National Biography and several other anthologies. He is published in many countries and in more than a dozen languages. He has received several honorary doctorates and awards for his writing. In 2005 he won The Ed Murrow Award for Radio Broadcasting, in 2006 The RTNDA Radio Broadcasting Award and in 2007 the Communicator Award in Hollywood for his television show.
Coren's most recent book is "all things considered", a collection of columns and essays.
