Cathy (Cate) McKim

Bio

Cathy (Cate) McKim earned an special honours BFA (Visual Arts) at York University, then went on to classical acting training at George Brown Theatre School's three-year conservatory program. She currently works as a not-so-mild-mannered copyeditor/proofreader/writer by day and works on various fine arts projects by night. She spent nine years with the Alumnae Theatre Company (part-time, as a volunteer, on top of the full-time office job), where she worked as a newsletter columnist, blogger, actor, playwright, bartender, scenic painter, reading committee member, audition reader, general labourer and member of the company's marketing "brain trust." Now, she looks forward to having the time and space in her life to work on her own projects: writing, singing, visual arts, acting, and blogging about arts and culture.
